Getting Back to Where We Started
As I begin to blog again after completing my manuscript for Don’t Be Afraid to Eat Soup with a Fork, I had a few other ideas about lessons I learned during the challenging task I just completed, but this is the right place to begin.
I believe we are at our best when we are born, because we are pure and full of love for everyone and the world that surrounds us.
I believe we are at our best, as we age, because the lessons of life pile on top of one another and we have the opportunity to grow wiser.
The challenge is …
As the lessons increase, the opportunities to harm also increase. We get wounded and scars come. Opportunities to become bitter, opportunities to doubt ourselves, others, and faith in something better arise.
Doubts from others get integrated and they become our own voice.
The voice for something better speaks loudly in the back of our heads, but it is hard to hear over the commotion that surrounds us.
How do we lead happy fulfilling lives? How do we reach our best?
I would like to suggest that we realize everything in the long term can nourish us if we allow it to. No matter how negative a situation is, there is always a nugget of wisdom.
We must keep the enthusiasm and love of a child as we continue to gain the wisdom that life has to offer.
We are all wonderful and we stay wonderful no matter what happens to us or what lies are presented to us.
I know everything happens for a reason, but I forget. Learning is beautiful and transcendent, but that is only part of the challenge. We must also remember.
Please Remember:
We are all wonderful creatures filled of love and wisdom.
Thanks for reading
Chris
